Travelling to Ireland from the United States to begin a tour.

June 10, 2020

Ireland has made great progress dealing with Covid – 19 and we are currently in Phase 2 of the Covid restrictions. Stores and businesses are beginning to open and social distancing of two meters is to be maintained. The Health Department has recommended that everyone wear face masks when going outside the home and interacting with folks whilst shopping ect, the requirement to keep two meters distance is mandatory at this time.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their beautiful creations and messages of solidarity with us, please continue to share love, positivity and hope during this time. Stay home, stay safe and protect each other. 🌈⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣#COVID19 #HoldFirm #StaySafe #InThisTogether

The roadmap sets out Ireland’s plan for lifting COVID-19 restrictions on:

Our position as an incoming tour operator in Ireland remains difficult to manage as our main market is North America. At present the forces that are bearing on us making a decision on tours going ahead this year are based on the following factors.

* There are currently no restrictions on flights from the USA to Ireland or the UK. You should check with your airline for any additional information they may require before you can board.

However please be aware of the following.

1. The Irish Authorities currently require anyone coming into Ireland, apart from Northern Ireland, to self-isolate for 14 days. Passengers arriving to Ireland from overseas are obliged to complete a mandatory Public Health Passenger Locator Form and to submit it to the relevant authority at their port of entry. This includes Irish residents.

2. In Ireland passenger vehicle transport. Social distancing requirements mean that overall passenger capacity remains restricted to just over 20% of pre-COVID levels.

We will keep you updated on what the ongoing situation is regarding the above travel restrictions and as soon as anything changes I will post the information on a Blog and on https://www.facebook.com/ScotiaIreland In the meantime please keep in touch with us and stay safe and healthy. We are missing touring and meeting all you folks. But rest assured as soon as all restrictions are lifted we are raring to go………
