Day 1
Arrival in to Edinburgh Airport. Taxi/tram transfer to Edinburgh hotel. Remainder of the day to relax and or explore the city following your flight.

Day 2
Today following breakfast, we will enjoy a Panoramic Guided Tour of Edinburgh city by coach or private hop on/off city bus arranged by Scotia Ireland, the afternoon/evening is free to explore on your own. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Day 3
Visit Rosslyn Chapel and on to Melrose Abbey and The Secrets of Melrose Abbey Museum Tour. St. Mary’s Abbey, Melrose is a partly ruined monastery of the Cistercian order in Melrose, Roxburgshire, in the Scottish Borders. It was founded in 1136 by Cistercian monks at the request of King David I of Scotland. The visit is followed by lunch on your own in the village.

Day 4
Full day drive, touring along the way to Iverness via Pitlochry village and Aviemore. We will visit the Dalwhinnie Whisky distillery and take a distillery tour. Sample 2 Dalwhinnie single malts with specially selected chocolate that combines beautifully with the whisky.

Day 5
Tour to Fortwilliam via Loch Ness calling to Urquart Castle for lots of photo opportunities. Discover more than 1,000 years of stirring history centered on the Great Glen. The magnificently situated Urquhart Castle, on the shore of Loch Ness, has seen some of the most dramatic chapters in Scotlands story. We plan on arriving in to Fortwilliam before 6 pm.

Day 6
Departing this morning we drive South to the seafaring and fishing town of Oban where we will explore the charming town and following lunch on our own (great fish and chips here) we will board our coach and drive the short distance to the ferry terminal for the ferry crossing to our next adventure on the beautiful Isle of Mull.

Day 7
We cruise to the Treshnish Isles in search for whales, dolphins and basking sharks. We land on Lunga, the largest of the Treshnish Isles. The main attraction here is the large puffin colony but there are also many thousands of other seabirds nesting there. Then on to Staffa with time ashore to visit Fingal’s Cave. See the famous hexagonal rock columns, formed millions of years ago by volcanic eruptions.

Day 8
Explore Isle of Mull photograph the iconic Highland Cattle and look for photo opportunities through out the island and along the shore.

Day 9
Early departure. Drive to Craignure to catch ferry to Oban and continue to Edinburgh touring along the way.

Say farwell to our tour. Transfers to EDI Airport this morning.

When all is said and done, Ricky Tims is a creative life coach. His artistic pursuits in quilting, music and photography have resounded with an international audience.
Ricky will help participants to find their own creative voice and show them how to use their cameras to capture breathtaking Scotland through creativity and innovation. You won’t just experience the magic of Scotland, you will capture it and take it home with you!

Con O’Leary – Chauffeur Driver/Guide
Con is the founder of Scotia Ireland Tours and is the Senior Guide with the company. Con has lead countless tours throughout the Island of Ireland and Scotland. Con’s love of Ireland and subsequent interest in archaeology and history stems from idyllic childhood rambling the hills and mountains of County Kerry as a young boy, with his best friend, his Dad.
Whilst touring with Con you can be assured of good company and lively varied conversation, lots of stories and humor! Traditional Irish music and poetry are Con’s abiding interests. In addition to English, he speaks Gaelic Irish – his native tongue.
